The world needs a more sustainable energy model

The abusive use of polluting energy sources generates alterations in natural systems and, therefore, damages ecosystems. Therefore, batteries for energy storage have become an alternative in terms of sustainability.  In fact, the accumulation of efficient energy is one of the main concerns of companies with environmentally responsible policies.

The implementation of storage systems is not only due to moral reasons but also for economic and productive reasons.

The importance of energy storage

Electrical energy is generated, transported, and transformed in a simple way. However, it is still a challenge to store it in a practical, easy, and cost-effective way. This means that power must be generated on demand at all times. Therefore, energy requires the support of storage systems to be integrated. Likewise, energy storage provides greater efficiency and security to the electrical system.

For example, the Axpo company plans to build a battery energy storage facility in Sweden by 2024. This battery energy storage system will be built to provide cooperative services to the power grid.

Therefore, Matilda Afzelius, CEO of RES, recognizes the importance of this project in Sweden. It indicates that energy storage is playing an increasingly important role in that country. She points out that RES is working together with the municipalities to find solutions and implement projects that can meet Sweden’s energy and economic needs.

This type of project has a great impact on society in cases where energy generation exceeds demand. This avoids wasting energy that could be useful for future needs.

Finally, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University) (UNIB), offers the Master’s Degree in Design, Management and Project Management
