OpenAI will introduce a world-class search engine to ChatGPT to provide faster and more up-to-date answers.

ChatGPT is available to the general public, however, it has a flaw: not being connected to the Internet. Therefore, its answers are not updated and may be incorrect. Consequently, OpenAI will introduce Bing as its search engine in collaboration with Microsoft. This also with the aim of competing with Google Bard, which recently introduced this benefit.

This way, the chat will be more reliable as it will be supported by a search engine. Therefore, the chat will include search results and citations or bibliographic references. This feature will first be set up for ChatGPT Plus users, and then, it will be enabled for all users.

The collaboration between these two major companies does not stop there. The arrival of Microsoft 365 Copilot has also been announced.

Search engine linked to Microsoft Copilot

Artificial intelligence will be able to be used on any accessed website. Microsoft will implement a feature on the right sidebar that will have direct access to artificial intelligence.

This action will allow the user to complete various tasks in Office documents, Outlook e-mails, and other websites. The idea is to be able to suggest the information the user is viewing at that moment to answer an e-mail. Or to synthesize information from a opened web page.

In this context, the new version of Microsoft Copilot will have said sidebar to interact with the artificial intelligence at all times through a dialog box.

Currently, these features are in a private preview, and it is not yet known when they will be available to all users. However, the collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI will take the user browsing experience to another level.
