The Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), through the Network Engineering and Advanced Telecommunication Services Group (GISAI), developed a cryptosystem to sanction the security of systems using biometric authentication.
The system provides encryption techniques that enable secure encryption. Currently, sensors do not support the implementation of cryptographic techniques, which is important to protect user information.
The researchers’ proposal involves three basic modules: a chaos generation module, a pseudorandom number generator module and a cryptographic module.
The developed proposal is published in the journal Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering, in the article “Lightweight Encryption for Short-range Wireless Biometric Authentication Systems in Industry 4.0”.
UNIB offers the following program Master’s Degree in Strategic Management with Specialization in Information Technologies for those professionals interested in acquiring the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to manage a Systems and ICT management position, lead an organizational change project using ICT or who wish to advise companies that need to respond to the competitiveness of new businesses.
