Admittedly, more is learned through experience; however, there are topics that should be included in school at an early age. Since they would have important repercussions in adult life that could provide really valuable knowledge. Here are some of them. 

Basic finance 

It is necessary to teach basic financial concepts in order to manage money efficiently. For example, how much should be spent according to what is earned and what should money be spent on. The importance of saving and the power of compound interest; the need to have an emergency fund and to understand the interest rates available from banks. 

You learn these issues when you already have a job and have wasted your money. You should not wait until you have financial problems to understand how finances work. 

Entrepreneurship and business 

One of the issues that is rarely addressed in schools is entrepreneurship. Promoting entrepreneurship in children and young people is very important to foster their autonomy and self-improvement in life. This would develop their creativity, confidence, and positive thinking. 

Entrepreneurship is a skill that should be part of the curriculum in schools. 

Critical thinking 

This does not entail teaching children what to think but how to think. Most universities implement debates and discussions. Doing so at an early age could help people learn to better appreciate and evaluate the different situations they face every day. 

Sales 

Mathematics, geometry, and calculus, among others, are taught in schools, however, how to sell a product is not. It is common to find people with excellent ideas for starting a business but who are afraid to sell. They are afraid of rejection because they do not know how to provide their products or services. Therefore, the sales class should focus on building interpersonal relationship skills and assertive communication. 

Mental health 

Emotional, social, and psychological well-being is very important. This should be one of the most important courses in schools since many children, adolescents, and adults do not know how to manage or express their emotions and do not know how to face situations that cause them uneasiness or distress.
